If you like whiskey, coffee and cream then you must try an authentic Irish Coffee. But do not worry ; you don’t have to travel to Dublin to brew this invigorating brew. With just a few simple ingredients, you can brew a sizzling cup of Irish coffee at home.

Oh yes, and don’t forget to mix in a dropper of Tribal CBD Oil for more calm. While it may appear that CBD would conflict with caffeine, many customers claim that these compounds complement each other.

Irish Coffee Cocktail Recipe

Interestingly, coffee cocktails were around long before the introduction of Irish Coffee. According to the always reliable Wikipedia, the Viennese could enjoy coffee-based drinks with cream and alcohol as early as the 19th century. It also seems that these coffee concoctions were quite fashionable in Belle Epoque Paris.

However, most people believe that the Irish Coffee we know today was invented in the 1940s at present-day Shannon Airport. By most accounts, a bartender named Joe Sheridan started adding whiskey to the coffee… and people seem to have liked it!

One of the many passengers who fell in love with this cocktail was American journalist Stanton Delaplane. Indeed, Delaplane enjoyed Irish Coffee so much that he decided to add it to his bar menu in San Francisco. And, as the saying goes, “the rest is history”.

  • 1 ½ ounce of Irish whiskey
  • ½ ounce of simple syrup
  • ~ 2 ounces of black coffee
  • 1 drop Tribal CBD Oil
  • Heavy cream, to top it off

  • Pour the whiskey and simple syrup into a glass mug
  • Top up with just enough hot coffee to nearly fill your glass
  • Pour heavy cream on the back of a bar spoon to create a top layer
  • Drizzle Tribal CBD Oil as a garnish

While Irish Coffee is inextricably linked with the Emerald Isle, that doesn’t mean you can’t add a few “foreign blossoms.” Indeed, many people swap Irish whiskey for other spirits to spice up this simple recipe.

For example, if you fancy a little Caribbean twist, why not add a pinch of Jamaican rum? To stay closer to home, consider adding some Scotch whiskey to your “Scottish Coffee”. Finally, if you want to lower your java like a Russian, do not hesitate and add vodka.

By the way, people who want a little extra ‘pep’ can always add an espresso to their Irish Coffee. You can also check out our previous recipe for a CBD Espresso Martini for more cocktail inspiration.

Tired of the caffeine jitters? Add CBD to your coffee!

It might sound strange to put CBD oil in your coffee, but hundreds of customers are in love with this crazy combo. Apparently, the anti-anxiety properties of CBD help moderate the energizing effects of caffeine. So instead of feeling nervous after a cup of CBD coffee, most people report a wonderful feeling of “calm alertness.”

If you have stopped drinking coffee due to unwanted side effects, consider adding a drop of Tribal CBD Oil to your next cup of joe.
