Dalgona Coffee Recipe: How to Make Whipped Coffee on Instagram

If you’ve scrolled aimlessly through Instagram at any point in the past week – and, let’s be honest, there’s not much else to do right now – we’ll risk guessing that you’ve spied on. at least one Dalgona coffee on your diet.

Whether you actively recognize it or not, this seemingly ordinary drink littered pretty much every influencer Instagram account during self-isolation, and there’s a very good reason for that. It’s fucking delicious.

Now listen to us. We are rarely seduced by the ephemeral trends of Instagram. Sure, we’ve had our fair share of laughs on TikToks over the past few weeks, and we’ve been somewhat tempted to bake a banana bread after seeing eight in a row on our friends’ Insta stories, but there is has had very few late fashions that we can see making their way into our daily post-40s routine. You know when we Actually have a ride to fit our schedule. And see friends. And business travel. And family trips.

WHAT YOU NEED (for 2 people)

Keep scrolling to buy your Dalgona mixers and equipment!


1. Add instant coffee, sugar and hot water to a medium mixing bowl …

2. Using an electric hand mixer, whip the mixture for approx. 4 minutes until light brown and silky. Trust the process, it will happen. (If you are brave / strong, feel free to use a manual whip, but be prepared to work for it) …

3. Divide the mixture in half and drop (elegantly) half over each prepared glass of milk and two-thirds ice. (You can also pour it over hot milk for a hot drink) …

4. Mix and enjoy, while enjoying your culinary glow. Oh, and take a pic for Instagram – duh.
