Brad Pitt followed in the footsteps of his Hollywood friend and Nespresso star George Clooney on Thursday September 2 by becoming a brand ambassador for the De ‘Longhi coffee machine.
The Italian home appliance company said it has launched a global campaign for its domestic espresso coffee machines with a video directed by La La Land director Damien Chazelle and featuring Oscar-winning actor Pitt.
Clooney, who has been a longtime friend of Pitt’s, has been the advertising spokesperson for NestlÃ©’s premium coffee brand, Nespresso, for many years.
“Our group has experienced extraordinary growth in recent years and the household espresso coffee machine segment has played a central role in this expansion,” De ‘Longhi Managing Director Massimo Garavaglia said in a statement.
De ‘Longhi saw double-digit revenue growth last year as people staying at home during shutdowns boosted demand for coffee machines, cooking aids and air conditioners.
Espresso coffee machines for households account for more than half of De ‘Longhi’s turnover.
âThe investment planned for this campaign is an integral part of the strategy to accelerate marketing and communication activities implemented in recent years,â added Garavaglia.
