Today is the bachelor party. It&#8217;s more like a bachelor day really, as we&#8217;re going to go white water rafting in West Virginia! The weather seems alright so far and it rained a lot the last couple of days so there should be enough water to have some fun! <img src='http://codepuccino.com/metacosm/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Unfortunately, as my camera is not waterproof, I won&#8217;t be taking any pictures during, which could have been a lot of fun.</p>

<p>Let&#8217;s start off with <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/dcist05/~3/190369820/the_argyle_acad_27.php">The Argyle Academy</a>:</p>
<p><a href="http://argyleacademy.com/"><img alt="I'm too educated to ever be truly happy again." src="http://dcist.com/attachments/dcist_sommer/2007_1125_argyleacademy.jpg" width="500" /></a></p>
<p class="attribution"><a href="http://dcist.com/">DCist</a></p>
<p>Next up is <a href="http://indexed.blogspot.com/2007/11/it-will-get-easier-really-it-will.html">Indexed</a>:</p>
<p><a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_FBXGhy-QmVw/R0N_HDOmFkI/AAAAAAAABT0/I_v8F7W7T_I/s1600-h/card1167.JPG"><img src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_FBXGhy-QmVw/R0N_HDOmFkI/AAAAAAAABT0/I_v8F7W7T_I/s320/card1167.JPG" alt="It will get easier, really, it will!" /></a></p>
<p class="attribution"><a href="http://indexed.blogspot.com/">indexed</a></p>
<p>A little <a href="http://xkcd.com/334/">xkcd</a>:</p>
<p><img src="http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/wasteland.png" title="You make forgetting look so easy." alt="You make forgetting look so easy." width="500" /></p>
<p class="attribution"><a href="http://xkcd.com/">xkcd.com</a></p>
<p>And last, but not least, <a href="http://postsecret.blogspot.com/2007/11/sunday-secrets_24.html">Sunday Secrets</a>:</p>
<p><a href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_a7jkcMVp5Vg/R0jFVtQE7EI/AAAAAAAACdY/4NhXGnCQUXM/s1600-h/fakingit.jpg"><img src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_a7jkcMVp5Vg/R0jFVtQE7EI/AAAAAAAACdY/4NhXGnCQUXM/s400/fakingit.jpg" alt="I often wonder if life is easier for other people or they're just better at faking it"/></a></p>
<p class="attribution"><a href="http://postsecret.blogspot.com/">PostSecret</a></p>
<p>Now, it&#8217;s not all bleak and doom. Maybe, a little case of grey-colored glasses&#8230;</p>

I&#8217;m still not sure about the season but, at least, this last episode provided some hope. Let&#8217;s see where they go from here&#8230;</p>

<p>It&#8217;s always nice to go there especially for the friends I get to see there that I otherwise barely see. On the other hand, it seems like the French embassy makes a point of making you feel at home, what with the inefficiency of air conditioning, which was just barely turned on and utterly failed to cool the halls, encumbered as they were by numerous people in suits hustling their way around the food displays or at the bars. Ah, the joy of trying to get a drink at the bar, while old &#8220;ladies&#8221; cut in front of you, almost stealing the apple of your eyes, that long awaited glass of cool Champagne, from out of your reaching hand! It surely felt like I was back in France! Hard to stay gallant in these conditions&#8230; <img src='http://codepuccino.com/metacosm/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
