About

You’ve found your way to my blog. My name is, officially, depending on whom you ask (for more about this, please see Chris vs. Christophe ^_^) Christophe or Chris Laprun. I might be called by other names, also depending of whom you ask, but this is for you to find out if you get to know me better… First, a little professional sounding blurb about me:

Christophe Laprun has spent the first years of his professional career developing open-source software in the United States: first at the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) where he worked on linguistic frameworks, then as a consultant before finally joining JBoss in December 2005, where he’s been working on JBoss Portal ever since. Recently back in his native country, France, he is now enjoying a renewed interest in gastronomy while trying to re-adjust to the French way of life. In his spare time, Christophe enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding and kendo, though he’s also not adverse to going to a good concert or reading a book.

I should add that when Chris writes about himself and has to address himself in the third person, he feels weird about it but apparently it’s quite a standard thing to do, so there! :p

While a native of the Parisian suburbs, I now call Grenoble home. Ask me why sometimes! :)
