New Audi A4
Audi has released information about the new Audi A4 (B7 platform). AudiWorld and Fourtitude have more details. I am not quite sure about the overall design yet but my first reaction is that I don’t quite like the disproportion of between the headlights and the bumper, giving the car a rather massive appearance when looking at the front. The shape of the headlights is also quite surprising. I guess it’ll take some getting used to it.

Yeah I’m not sure I like it either. Indeed it is very surprising. I think they’re trying to keep with the look of the new A6 and A8, and while it works there, I think the A4 is too small for this look.
Like you said, maybe it takes getting used to. I’m still not 100% sure I like the look of the BMW 5 series.
