Based on pages 1-179 of Snow Crash, I think William Gibson is a better writer than Stephenson, but it's worth reading. I've heard good things about The Baroque Cycle.

Quicksilver could also become a competitor to iSeek:

I like your link rollover effect!

I might have missed something but how could Quicksilver become a competitor to iSeek? Butler is already with its search functionality but I haven't seen anything similar in Quicksilver. Granted, it could be added but is it already in there?

Thank you for the kind words on the rollover effect! I kinda like it as well but I think I still need to tweak it... A project for a rainy day, maybe? :)

On the subject of Gibson vs. Stephenson, I was going to reply here but I decided to expand my answe into a full-blown post!

Thanks for the feedback.

I missed the transformation of Another Launcher into Butler, so I wasn't aware of its features until I looked at the developer's page. Oops. Butler definitely offers competition to iSeek.

Quicksilver does not, to my knowledge, have site-specific search capabilites yet, but I can easily see such a thing being implemented. Typing in "search " could bring up a list of available engines in the Results window. Once one was selected, the query terms would be passed to it.

Actually, according to a thread at http://forums.blacktree.com/viewtopic.php?t=196 (and according to my test, it works as described), Quicksilver could enter the searching space as well. They just need a better interface to define search engines...
